Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her professional title Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The label released her first EP titled Pho in October of 2016 when she began to gain recognition. Her first studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012 after she dropped her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox continued uploading her music on the internet, as well as her own single Bound. In the year 2015, she performed in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. it out on July 21st. The following year, her music was circulating around the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to join him in creating some potential references to Rihanna. The official signing ceremony was held to Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the record Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat alongside Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, her debut EP was released titled Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She was accompanied by EarthGang. In 2018, she was able to appear on two tracks with her label-mates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July 2018, which was released on July 16th, 2018. The music video later released in September. In November, she dropped two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then on November 13 two new singles titled No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019 to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured with Cole as part of her Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. The 20th of February, 2019, a music video was made available for the track. It has already received nearly 3 million hits on YouTube within the first week. In December of 2018 she performed on her From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
